"Fitness
Czar" Holds His Own on CNN's "Crossfire"
Through
the Get Lean Houston campaign, Lee has been given many
opportunities to help spread the word about fitness and nutrition to thousands
of people. One such opportunity came recently when he was asked to do
an appearance on CNNs Crossfire with James Carville
and Tucker Carlson. To date, Lee Labrada has made 2 appearances on the
show, as well as dozens of local and national radio appearances.
While
Lee is charged with getting Houstonians into shape through GLH, President
Bush recently launched his own awareness campaign nationally. On Crossfire,
Lee was asked to discuss governmental affairs in conjunction with fitness
and debate why fitness should be a national priority.
Above,
Lee is shown in the studio during his live interview. He was able to promote
physical fitness to more than 800,000 people in one night and successfully
argued that it needs to be a national priority. More than 300,000 deaths
each year are attributed to obesity-related issues, and the Center for
Disease Control (CDC) has called obesity on the rise a "national
epidemic."
