In recent years, makers of “fat burners” have focused their formulas on increasing the metabolic rate with the goal of effecting greater fat loss. The results have been mixed at best. “Fat burner’ is really a misnomer for these products. There are few over-the-counter products that even remotely approach the goal of increasing metabolic rate.
